This is exactly how a Scenic Tours dune buggy tour runs, step by step — from arrival to the end of your ride.
1. How you arrive — pickup or self-drive
If you chose hotel pickup, our driver collects you from Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman at your confirmed time. If you chose self-drive, you drive to Scenic Tours Camp, Al Madam Desert — GPS coordinates are sent on booking.
2. Check-in at camp
You check in at camp reception and sign the mandatory liability waiver. This takes 2–3 minutes.
3. Safety briefing (5–10 minutes)
The guide explains how the buggy operates — accelerator, brakes, steering, gear selection — and covers convoy rules, spacing, and what to do if you fall behind. Helmets and goggles are fitted after the briefing.
4. The guide leads the buggy group
The guide drives ahead in a lead vehicle. Riders follow in single file, maintaining safe spacing. The guide stays in front to show the route, control the pace, and stop the convoy at regrouping and photo points.
5. What the desert route is like
Al Madam Desert features a mix of soft sand dunes, firmer flats, and rolling ridges. Our guide selects the route based on your group's skill level — first-timers get gentler terrain, experienced drivers get more challenging dunes on request.
6. Where you stop for photos
Photo stops are made at scenic viewpoints on the dunes. The guide signals the convoy to stop, and riders can step out briefly to take photos.
7. How the ride finishes
After the final photo stop, the guide leads the convoy back to Scenic Tours Camp. You return your helmet and goggles. If you selected hotel pickup, your driver returns you to your hotel.
